Collaborative AI agents for autonomous experimental research with solid-state quantum spins
This is the clearest demo yet of agents actually doing novel science without human direction. The key innovation is the peer-checking mechanism: one agent can reject another agent's conclusion and demand experimental validation. This is closer to real autonomy than prior work. For builders: this model of agent verification scales beyond science. For investors: if this pattern holds across domains, AI-driven discovery becomes a real product category.
